Joined by John Dee, Diane begins at the Holy Rosary Cathedral in Vancouver with “Piece” by G. Pierne. Other music includes: J. Haydn’s “Flute Clocks”, Handel’s “Allegretto”, “How Great Thou Art’, J P Rameau’s “The Fife” and from the State House organ in Juneau, Diane plays “Stars & Stripes Forever” following a duet with the player piano. Diane Bish celebrates the life and music of French organist, composer, and teacher Charles Marie Widor. Music includes Widor’s “Toccata” from Symphony #5 one of his best known and most often performed work for the organ. Diane Bish visits the Benedictine community at St. Meinrad Archabbeynestled in the hills of Southern Indiana founded in 1854 by monks from theEinsiedeln Abbey in Switzerland. St. Meinrad operates a graduate seminary andschool of theology, along with Abbey Press. Diane is joined by Linda Strommen, oboe professor at Indiana UniversityJacobs School of Music. The ArchabbeyMonks Choir, led by Fr. Jeremy King, also join Diane.
